The Devil Wears Prada 2 Teaser Trailer Gives Fans First Look at Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway Reunited as Their Iconic Characters

They’ve returned—and they appear more formidable than ever. 20th Century Studios has unveiled the initial teaser trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2, offering fans their first glimpse of Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly and Anne Hathaway as Andy Sachs, years after the original 2006 blockbuster captivated audiences.

Running approximately 51 seconds, the clip opens with a pair of feet clad in red heels striding through office hallways before stepping into an elevator. The camera pans upward to reveal Streep’s Priestly looking impeccably chic in a black, white, and red outfit, complete with her iconic sunglasses. Just as the doors begin to close, another hand slips between them to hold the car open.

Hathaway’s Sachs enters, exuding confidence, and greets Priestly with a calm “Miranda.” Priestly retorts, “Took you long enough.” Sachs smiles and dons her own pair of sunglasses, suggesting she has finally reached Priestly’s level—a promising sign for the sequel.

Reports indicate the plot will follow Priestly as she navigates her career during the decline of traditional magazine publishing while competing against Emily Charlton (played by Emily Blunt), now a powerful executive at a luxury group holding advertising dollars that Priestly urgently needs. Given that the original film was based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel, the sequel may incorporate elements from its 2013 follow-up, Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns.

In that book, Charlton teams up with Sachs as top editors at a magazine, while Priestly re-enters Sachs’ life. It remains to be seen how closely the film will adhere to these narrative threads.

Alongside Streep, Hathaway, and Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Tracie Thoms, and Tibor Feldman return from the first installment. Joining them are notable names such as Kenneth Branagh, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, Pauline Chalamet, Simone Ashley, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Conrad Ricamora, B.J. Novak, and Patrick Brammall, who replaces Adrian Grenier as Sachs’ love interest.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is scheduled for theatrical release on May 1, 2026, and this sassy teaser makes the wait all the more thrilling.
