"Deltarune's Secret 'SPECIAL ROOM' Reveals Exclusive Switch 2 Feature"

Deltarune's upcoming version for the Switch 2 was unveiled during the latest Nintendo Direct for Switch 2 on April 2. This edition will not only include chapters 3 and 4 but also boast exclusive features tailored for the next-generation console.

In a Fangamer newsletter, Deltarune developer Toby Fox shared that the Switch 2 version will feature a unique "SPECIAL ROOM" designed to leverage the mouse functionality of the new Joy-Cons. Fox enthusiastically noted, "So, we made a very small SPECIAL ROOM which takes advantage of using MOUSE CONTROLS ON TWO CONTROLLERS AT ONCE, only possible on the Nintendo Switch 2!!"

For those with non-Switch 2 devices, the SPECIAL ROOM will still be accessible, though with a different control scheme. Additionally, players can seamlessly import their save files from the Nintendo Switch demo of Deltarune 1 and 2 to the new version, ensuring a smooth transition.

Deltarune Future Chapters Will Be Free

Toby Fox also addressed the pricing in the newsletter, confirming that Deltarune will be available for $24.99. This price includes Chapters 1 and 2, along with the newly released Chapters 3 and 4. While Chapter 1 debuted in 2018 and Chapter 2 followed in 2021, both initially free, it was previously announced that future chapters (3-5) would require payment.

However, Fox has now promised that upcoming chapters will be added as free updates. This means that once you purchase the game, all future chapters will be included at no additional cost. Fox expressed his hope that players will feel they've gotten a "super super super super good deal" as more chapters are completed.

The game's soundtrack will also be available on Steam for $14.99, featuring over 150 songs from the upcoming Chapters 3 and 4. Future chapters will also contribute songs to the soundtrack at no extra charge, ensuring that Deltarune offers incredible value by providing free future content and chapters.
