Paradox Interactive has exciting news for fans of Crusader Kings 3: the upcoming expansion will delve into the fascinating world of nomadic rulers. This new DLC introduces a distinctive governance system tailored for nomadic societies, complete with a novel currency called "herd." This herd currency will not only represent the ruler's authority but also significantly influence various aspects of gameplay, such as military strength, the composition of cavalry, and the dynamics between lords and their subjects.
Central to the nomadic lifestyle is the necessity of constant movement. In the game, these movements will be shaped by multiple factors, where chieftains can choose to negotiate peaceful terms with local populations or, if needed, forcibly displace them to secure new territories for their people.
Adding to the nomadic experience, rulers will have the ability to utilize special yurts that can be transported across their journeys, much like the camps of adventurers. These yurts can be upgraded with various components, each offering unique advantages to enhance the ruler's capabilities and lifestyle.
The expansion will also introduce iconic yurt towns, which nomadic kings will carry with them on their travels. Similar to adventurer camps, these mobile settlements can be further developed with additional structures, each serving a range of functions to support the nomadic lifestyle and governance.
