Civilization 7's post-release roadmap revealed

Author : Thomas Update:Apr 22,2025

Get ready for an exciting journey with *Sid Meier's Civilization VII*, the latest addition to the iconic turn-based 4X strategy series from Firaxis Games and 2K. Mark your calendars for February 11, as this much-anticipated title will be hitting the shelves across multiple platforms including PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and even Steam Deck. Deluxe and Founders Edition owners will enjoy early access starting February 6, five days before the general release. Plus, a zero-day patch will ensure a smooth launch experience for all players.

Firaxis has proudly announced that *Civilization VII* has reached gold status, signifying that the core development is complete and the game is on track for its scheduled release. This milestone assures fans that, barring any unexpected issues, there will be no further delays.

Looking ahead, the expansion content promises to enrich the *Civilization VII* experience even further. The first downloadable content (DLC), *Crossroads of the World*, will roll out in two exciting phases in March. In the first stage, players will command both Great Britain and Carthage, with the chance to meet Ada Lovelace, the renowned computer pioneer turned in-game leader. Three weeks later, the second phase introduces Simon Bolivar as a leader, along with the civilizations of Bulgaria and Nepal.

Later in 2025, specifically between April and September, the *Right to Rule* DLC will add two new leaders and four new civilizations to the mix, alongside breathtaking natural wonders that will enhance your strategic gameplay.

Firaxis is committed to continually enhancing *Civilization VII* with new challenges and events. March will see the introduction of in-game events and awe-inspiring natural wonders like the Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest, promising to keep the game fresh and engaging for all players.
