Blasphemous, a challenging 2D platformer drawing inspiration from religious and Spanish folklore, is now available on Android. This release includes all DLC, gamepad support, and a completely redesigned user interface for a seamless mobile experience. Android users can download it now, with an iOS release slated for late February 2025.
The game's gothic atmosphere, intense side-scrolling combat, and demanding difficulty are hallmarks of its design. Players assume the role of The Penitent One, a warrior tasked with liberating the cursed island of Cvstodia from the insidious influence of The Miracle. Combat involves facing grotesque creatures born from a twisted blend of religious imagery and Spanish folklore.
The mobile version features a revamped UI and intuitive touch controls, while also offering Bluetooth gamepad compatibility for those preferring traditional controllers. All DLC is included in this mobile port.
iOS users will need to exercise patience, but the positive critical and player reception suggests the wait for Blasphemous will be worthwhile.
