Bam Margera, the iconic skateboarder and Jackass star, will indeed be featured in the much-anticipated Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4. This exciting news was revealed by skateboarding media veteran Roger Bagley during a members-only livestream on The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.
Bagley shared that the game was essentially complete when Tony Hawk personally intervened, requesting Activision to include Margera in the roster. Despite initial resistance, Hawk's persistence paid off, ensuring Margera's inclusion in the final product. IGN has reached out to Activision for further comment on this development.Margera's journey has been tumultuous, marked by well-documented struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, including multiple rehab visits. He was also dismissed from the Jackass Forever project and faced legal issues, including a restraining order filed by Jackass director Jeff Tremaine following alleged threats.
Recent footage of Hawk and Margera skateboarding together sparked initial rumors about Margera's return to the Tony Hawk series. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, announced earlier this month, is set to launch on July 11, 2025, across multiple platforms including PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game is being developed by Iron Galaxy and has overcome significant challenges, including the merger of previous developer Vicarious Visions with Blizzard, which had initially threatened to cancel the project.
