While the world of the Living Lands feels vast in Avowed, Obsidian's latest RPG features a surprisingly concise main storyline. For players seeking more content after completing the campaign, here's what awaits following Avowed's ending.

Does Avowed Feature New Game Plus?

Many completionist players enjoy replaying campaigns with enhanced difficulty while retaining their earned skills and equipment - a particularly appealing prospect for RPGs. Unfortunately, Avowed currently lacks this option.

Though New Game Plus isn't available at launch, Obsidian may potentially introduce this feature through future updates or DLC. Numerous players have already requested this mode, making its eventual addition a strong possibility.

Even without New Game Plus, Avowed offers compelling reasons for additional playthroughs. The RPG's impactful decision-making system and multiple endings create excellent opportunities for fresh experiences with different character builds and narrative choices.

Does Avowed Offer Endgame Content?

Avowed structures its world around four primary regions, plus additional undisclosed late-game areas we won't spoil here. These final sections allow players to fully utilize their progression, where Legendary-tier weapons become essential for survival.

While these concluding areas provide engaging challenges, they don't affect previous regions or unlock new territories. After completing the main story, players can't explore a Living Lands transformed by their decisions - a disappointing limitation.

Post-Game Activities in Avowed

With neither New Game Plus nor traditional endgame content, Avowed's post-completion options remain limited. Finishing the campaign rewards players with animated epilogue sequences showcasing their choices' consequences before returning them to the main menu.

From here, players can either begin a fresh adventure with new character choices or reload earlier saves. The game maintains autosaves just before critical story junctions, enabling players to revisit final sections and experiment with different decisions.

Returning to pre-finale saves also permits cleanup of remaining side content. Players can complete unfinished quests, collect missing items, and earn overlooked achievements. Note that earlier regions' enemies don't scale with player progression, making return visits with endgame equipment particularly satisfying.
