How To Find Atomic Batteries With Leads in Atomfall

Securing Atomic Batteries and depositing them at The Interchange is crucial for progressing the main narrative in Atomfall. Fortunately, the game provides a Lead called Atomic Batteries, which offers several clues on where to locate them. Here are the leads I've discovered so far:

  • "A Fruitful Trade" discloses that the Reverend obtained his Atomic Battery from a trader named Molly, located west of Wyndham Village. Molly has another battery available, and she particularly values Molotov Cocktails in trades. You can negotiate with her to acquire it.

  • "Batteries and All" can be found in the sewer system, hinting that the druids might possess Atomic Batteries in their castle within Casterfell Woods, situated in the southwest region. Navigate through the camp to a door flanked by blue fire torches, which leads to the Castle Ruins. The battery awaits next to a High Priestess overlooking a valley.

  • "Battery Request at the Skethermoor Depot" indicates a battery's presence in the Skethermoor Vehicle Depot, southeast of Skethermoor at coordinates 43.4 E, 74.6 N. Look for a blue hatch near two greenhouses on a hill. Enter, clear out any Outlaws, and navigate to the main room's left side to find a key through a vent. Use this key to unlock a door on the right, where the Atomic Battery resides. Ensure you have Radiation Resistance to survive the retrieval.

  • "Molly Sold a Battery to the Vicar" reveals that Molly sold another battery to the vicar at St. Katherine’s Church in Wyndham Village. This lead can be disregarded if you've already secured the Reverend's battery.

  • "Revered Got His Hands on a Battery" is a note from Alf that leads to the Atomic Battery in the Reverend's possession at St. Katherine’s Church. Upon entering, you'll find the Reverend covering up a murder. By choosing to stay silent, you can blackmail him into handing over the key to his chest upstairs, which holds the battery.

  • "Spare Batteries at the Dam" points to batteries located at the Dam in Casterfell Woods, northwest at coordinates 20.9 E, 90.9 N. The battery is in the Dam's electrical area. Access the Control Room, pull the Substation Override lever until the right light turns red, and safely retrieve the battery without electrocution.

Can You Barter for Batteries in Atomfall? Answered

If you're struggling to find Atomic Batteries in Atomfall, bartering offers another avenue. Molly is known to have a battery for trade, and other traders might occasionally have them due to rotating stock.

Traders have varying preferences for items. When trading, items may be marked with green, yellow, or red icons, indicating the trader's preference level, with green being the most favored. Experimenting with different items before finalizing a trade can help secure a better deal for Atomic Batteries.

How To Extract Atomic Batteries from Robots in Atomfall

In Atomfall, the Protocol deploys large, deadly armored robots across the Zone, often guarding critical areas or simply patrolling. These robots are powered by Atomic Batteries, which you can claim by disabling them.

The most effective method is to attack flamethrower-wielding robots from a distance with a rifle. Target the red barrels to overheat the robot until it's stunned, then quickly approach and extract the Atomic Battery from its back.

Atomfall is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass.
