Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Global Release Schedule Revealed

Ubisoft has officially announced the global release times for the highly anticipated Assassin’s Creed Shadows. In a departure from the usual practice in the series and Ubisoft's broader catalog, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will launch with a synchronized global release date. There will be no option for early access, ensuring that all players can start their journey at the same time.

The game will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S at 12am local time on March 20. However, for PC players, the release times vary depending on the platform. Those purchasing through Steam or Ubisoft's own platform, Ubi Connect, will have different unlock times. Pre-loading is already available across all platforms, including Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

The stakes are high for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, as Ubisoft looks to rebound from recent challenges. Following delays and the underwhelming sales of last year's Star Wars Outlaws, the company has faced significant setbacks including high-profile flops, layoffs, studio closures, and game cancellations leading up to this release.

IGN's review of Assassin’s Creed Shadows awarded it an impressive 8/10, praising the game for refining its existing systems and delivering one of the best open-world experiences in the franchise's recent history.
