Pitchford's video highlighted the excellent progress of the game's development, describing it as "the best scenario." The official post from Borderlands 4 read, "After careful consideration–along with A LOT of meetings, playtestings, and incredible development work–we have made the monumental decision to MOVE UP THE LAUNCH DATE OF BORDERLANDS 4 to SEPTEMBER 12."
