Applin Debuts in Pokémon GO: Sweet Discoveries Await!

Pokémon GO enthusiasts, get ready for a treat with the upcoming Sweet Discoveries event, where the adorable Applin will make its grand debut. This event is a must-attend for collectors and shiny hunters alike. Here’s everything you need to know about this exciting event.

When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?

The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and will run until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. The highlight of the event is the debut of Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon hailing from the Galar region.

To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. If you're aiming for Appletun, you'll need the same amount of candies but with 20 Sweet Apples instead. For the final evolution into Dipplin, and eventually Hydrapple, follow the evolution path diligently.

The Apples, crucial for evolution, will be scattered in the wild. Tapping on them might reward you with a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Increase your chances of encountering Apples by using Mossy Lure Modules.

Applin is unique in that it spends its entire life inside an apple, cleverly disguising itself to avoid its natural predators, bird Pokémon. It's undoubtedly one of the cutest Pokémon in the entire roster of Pokémon GO.

During the Sweet Discoveries event, new avatar items will be available in the shop, including an Applin Headband and an Applin Apron. Additionally, you'll enjoy a bonus of 2× Candy for catching Pokémon throughout the event.

There will be an increased chance of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild. Moreover, your odds of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs will be higher.
