Following last week's bombshell announcement about a mobile Resident Evil project, Aniplex has unveiled fresh details about their upcoming strategy-horror hybrid, Resident Evil Survival Unit. The game is now open for Android pre-registrations ahead of its planned 2025 worldwide release.

Breaking away from traditional Resident Evil gameplay, this innovative mobile title blends real-time tactics with survival elements. Developed in collaboration with Joycity Corporation, it promises to deliver a fresh experience while retaining the series' iconic horror atmosphere.

The first official gameplay showcase premiered yesterday via YouTube, revealing how players will strategize rather than simply scavenge for ammunition in dimly lit hallways.

Original Storyline in Familiar Universe

Set in an alternate timeline from the main series, the narrative begins with the protagonist awakening in a quarantined hospital after serving as an unwilling Umbrella Corporation test subject.
