Fans of the iconic 1995 film *Clueless* are in for a treat as Alicia Silverstone is set to don the yellow and plaid once again, reprising her beloved role as Cher Horowitz in a new sequel series for Peacock. The project, currently in development, promises to continue the story from where the original left off, though specific plot details remain under wraps.
This upcoming series marks a fresh attempt at a *Clueless* spin-off, distinct from Peacock's earlier plans in 2020. The creative team behind this new venture includes Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, known for their work on *Gossip Girl*, who will write and executive produce alongside Jordan Weiss. They'll be joined by Amy Heckerling, the original writer-director of *Clueless*, and Robert Lawrence, the film's producer. CBS Studios and Universal Television are also on board to produce.
This isn't the first time *Clueless* has ventured into television. Following the film's success, a TV version aired on ABC and UPN from 1996 to 1999, with Rachel Blanchard stepping into the role of Cher instead of Silverstone.
Silverstone's recent return to the character in a 2023 Super Bowl commercial for Rakuten hints at her eagerness to revisit Cher's world. It's clear she's ready to dive back into that iconic wardrobe, and fans are undoubtedly excited to see her do so.
