"Activision Falsely Claims Fix for Black Ops 6 Cheaters Kicking Players"

In late January, a video emerged online showcasing a tool that hackers could use to remove players from matches in Black Ops 6. This footage was captured during the game's multiplayer beta, according to a statement from Activision. The company confirmed that the vulnerability highlighted in the video was addressed and fixed before the official release of Black Ops 6 in November. They emphasized that the video does not represent the current state of the game, as the team consistently investigates reports of such utilities.

Despite Activision's assurances, some players argue that the company is not being truthful, pointing out that hackers are still using the utility. They presented a video as evidence, showing the program in action during a match on the Nuketown map, which was introduced to Black Ops 6 a week after its launch.

Black Ops 6 achieved significant commercial success, topping the sales charts in the United States last year, as reported by Circana analysts. This marks the 16th consecutive year that the Call of Duty franchise has held the top spot in the U.S. market. Meanwhile, EA Sports College Football 25, released on consoles in July, became the most played sports game in the country.

In 2024, U.S. gamers' overall spending saw a slight decline of 1.1% compared to the previous year. However, Circana attributes this drop to reduced demand for hardware, while expenditures on add-ons and services increased by 2% and 6%, respectively. Looking ahead, fans can anticipate the second season of Black Ops 6 and Warzone 2, set to launch on January 28 with a ninja theme and a crossover with the "Terminator" universe.
