Among Us 3D Launch Date Set, Differs From VR

Launching May 6

Schell Games, developer of Among Us 3D, alongside publisher Innersloth, has confirmed the game's official debut date. On April 16th, the game's official Twitter/X account announced a May 6, 2025 release.

Originally conceptualized as Among Us VR, the project evolved into Among Us 3D to deliver enhanced cross-platform multiplayer capabilities. Recently, developers introduced Stardust, a new permanent currency that provides players greater flexibility in customization choices.

Among Us 3D introduces innovative gameplay elements including Tag Mode featuring the Infected role, built-in proximity voice chat, seasonal events, refreshed mini-games, and an extensive collection of new cosmetics.

Important note: Among Us 3D represents a completely separate title from the 2022-released Among Us VR, meaning cross-play functionality between the two versions isn't possible. As clarified in Schell Games' official FAQs:

"Developing these as distinct products enables us to maintain quality updates for Among Us VR while ensuring an optimized experience for our new PC audience."

Wishlist Rewards Program

The Steam wishlist campaign titled "Powered By Wishlists Challenge" offers escalating rewards at specific milestones:
