In today's digital age, children are naturally drawn to computers and tablets. As digital natives, they can benefit immensely from using technology to enhance their learning experiences, especially in reinforcing what they are already learning in school.

METHOD

Our approach to learning Spanish reading through phonics is tailored for children aged 3 to 6 or 7, and can also be beneficial for adults looking to refine their pronunciation. The program is structured into a section dedicated to tracing letters, followed by 30 comprehensive lessons. These lessons begin with vowels and progress through consonants and combinations like L, M, S, T, P, N, D, F, H, C, Q, CH, G, GUE, R, -rr-, B, V, J, GE, GUE, Y, Z, CE, LL, X, and K.

Each lesson includes 11 engaging games, available at two difficulty levels, making it an ideal tool for parents and educators to help children practice forming their first syllables and words in Spanish. The focus is on listening and completing tasks, with no need for full comprehension, ensuring a fun and stress-free learning environment.

Reading proficiency develops over time, often taking more than a year. We suggest practicing for short periods daily, revisiting previously learned material, and adjusting the exercises to match the child's pace. It's crucial to maintain a playful atmosphere throughout the learning journey.

LEVELS

All games come with two adjustable difficulty levels, allowing children to progress at their own speed. The games can be paused and resumed at any time. Successful completion of games rewards children with virtual fruits, adding a layer of motivation.

The first level is designed for children as young as three, with the possibility of even younger learners participating with guidance from parents or educators. This level allows for assistance in solving games. The second level presents more challenging tasks, encouraging children to tackle them independently, while always emphasizing the importance of enjoyment in learning.

As caregivers, it's vital to ensure the difficulty level aligns with the child's capabilities, avoiding undue pressure to advance prematurely.

ACHIEVEMENTS

The program allows for up to three user profiles, enabling personalized tracking of each child's progress across levels, including their correct and incorrect answers, represented visually through fruits. Collecting fruits not only motivates children but also adds an element of fun, as they can be donated to little aliens within the game. For a detailed view of progress, users can access reports from the Tikis screen.

This feature helps children listen to and learn how to write the Spanish alphabet, syllables, and words through three modes: tracing, copying, and free writing. Users can select from uppercase, lowercase, or handwriting styles.
