SEGA Stars Join Sonic Rumble for Epic Crossover!

Sonic Rumble is generating buzz even before its global launch, with the introduction of Crossover Event #0: SEGA Stars, live now until May 7th, just before the worldwide release on May 8th. Currently in soft launch, the game is accessible in over 40 countries, having rolled out in phases. Pre-launch 1 occurred in Summer 2024 in regions like the Philippines, the Scandinavian countries, and Colombia, followed by Pre-launch 2 in places such as Canada, Turkey, Malaysia, and South Africa.

What’s in Store?

For those in regions where Sonic Rumble soft-launched, the SEGA Stars crossover is a treasure trove of nostalgia. The Altered Beast crew makes a grand return, with the Werewolf transformation available for free. Fans of the classic beast modes can also unlock the Werebear and Weredragon, though with different acquisition methods. The Weredragon is exclusive to the Premium Pass, while the Werebear can be purchased with regular rings.

Adding a touch of Fantasy Zone, Opa-Opa and Upa-Upa join the fray. Opa-Opa is another Premium Pass exclusive, whereas Upa-Upa can be obtained through fragments, each costing 700 standard rings. Additionally, AiAi and MeeMee from Super Monkey Ball have entered the crossover, with AiAi requiring 729 Red Star Rings. Catch a glimpse of the event below:

Earn Exclusive Goodies During the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars Crossover

Players can snag extra goodies by collecting SEGA logos during matches. Although it might seem unusual for the event to be active before the global release, SEGA has reassured fans that most pre-release rewards will return post-launch.

The excitement around Sonic Rumble's first crossover event, diving into SEGA's rich history and current lineup, showcases the game's promising future. Monkeys, sentient arcade ships, and buff were-things mingling with Sonic and friends make for an intriguing mix.

You can download Sonic Rumble from the Google Play Store now or wait for its global release on May 8th in your region.
