How to play Batak Trump Spades:

Number of players: 4

The game uses a 52-card deck. Each player receives 13 cards. All spades are trump cards.

In Swamp Trump Spades, only spades can be declared as trump.

The goal is to predict how many tricks you'll take before the game begins and then try to win at least that many.

Starting with the player to the dealer's right, everyone declares their predicted trick count, which is recorded on the scoreboard.

Gameplay:

The next player leads with any card if none are on the table. If a card is already played, follow suit if possible.

If you cannot follow suit, play a trump card. Otherwise, discard any card.

Scoring:

After each round, scores are calculated based on the difference between predicted and actual tricks won.

If you meet or exceed your bid:

10 × bid amount + (tricks won - bid amount) points

If you fall short of your bid:

-10 × bid amount points

Special case for zero-bid players:

+50 points if no tricks are taken, -50 points if any trick is won

Settling occurs when you fail to reach your bid by the end of the game.
